Una mujer al frente de la Real Sociedad Española de Física
A principios de este año fue elegida como primera mujer presidenta, desde su fundación (hace 103 años!), de la Real Sociedad Española de Física la investigadora del CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnologías) María Rosario Heras. Desde mi punto de vista las respuestas dadas por esta gran científica están llenas de vitalidad, y dejan claro que la Ciencia y la Mujer son totalmente compatibles e inseparables. Sólo espero que su última afirmación: "He tenido que ceder algunas cosas de la vida personal por dedicarme a esta profesión", no se convierta en una obligación para que una mujer triunfe en el mundo científico.

Leyendo el post anterior, me he permitido buscar más información tanto sobre la Real Sociedad Española de Física como de Doña “Charo” Heras Celemín y he de decir que me parece memorable que a día de hoy, una mujer con el curriculum de Dña. María Rosario llegue a la presidencia de una sociedad tan importante. Entre otras cosas, me choca el hecho de que sea la primera mujer en llegar a la presidencia desde 1903 (comienzo de la sociedad), pero alguna tendría que ser la primera. Quiero destacar además que leyendo la entrevista que facilita Clara y algunas otras, por su manera de hablar parece una mujer muy natural y cercana, que como ella misma dice, a raíz del trabajo de muchos años por y para la física, ha llegado a la presidencia.
Desde mi punto de vista también espero como muy bien dice Clara, que la última afirmación de esa entrevista no se convierta en un tópico y el resto de mujeres que intentamos abrir camino en la ciencia, no tengamos que renunciar en ningún aspecto a nuestra vida personal.
